Why you should get an electrician to fix a broken light switch
Some lighting issues are easy to fix. These include replacing a blown light bulb or checking the fuse box for a tripped switch. But if you’ve already done this and a particular room is still plunged in darkness, it’s time to call an in a First Response 360 qualified electrician.
Your electrician will test the light switch to identify if the mechanism is broken. If the switch head or toggle doesn’t stay in place, they’ll remove the old unit and disconnect the wires. They’ll replace it with a new light switch unit and connect the wires again. They’ll also check for loose wires and secure everything in place. If the old unit is working, they’ll inspect the fuse box for blown fuses or faulty switches. If they spot something, they’ll replace the fuse, repair the switch, and adjust the power load if necessary.
